Dia: Beacon Artist
Andy Warhol:
After looking at the exhibition from the Dia: Beacon museum, the piece that caught my attention the most was Andy Warhol's "Shadows" from 1978-79. His use of high contrast with black and bright colors draws and holds my attention. This piece is another example of the screen prints that Andy Warhol had become famous for. Andy Warhol was born in 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later moved to New York City after his graduation from the Carnegie Institute of Technology.
